Illicit Drug Identification

“In 2011, between 167 and 315 million people worldwide aged 15-64 were estimated to have used an illicit substance in the preceding year.”

-United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime

Centice drug identification products provides law enforcement personnel with the technology they need to make critical decisions on-scene about whether to arrest for unidentified powders or pills. The Narcotic Library contains over 200 narcotic substances, cutting agents, and synthetic drugs. When street mixtures are analyzed, the unit indicates both the narcotics plus the adulterants in the mixtures. This is helpful especially with “intelligence-led investigations”.

Centice identifies 200 of the the most commonly used illicit substances, cutting agents, synthetics, and precursors including:

  • Cocaine

  • Crack

  • Heroin

  • Methamphetamine

  • Ritalin

  • Ketamine

  • Fentanyl

  • ….and many more including cutting agents

“We now take this piece of equipment with us on every load out and the technology intimidates suspects and grabs their attention.”

-Agent Walt Jones, Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad, GA
