Barry graduated from Rutgers College of Pharmacy in 1971 and became a New Jersey licensed pharmacist in 1972. Barry founded Montville Pharmacy in 1979 which now employees 25. He has been on the national and regional advisory boards of Cardinal and was heavily involved in the testing and implementation of the Cardinal Inventory System which is now used nationwide. Barry has also held consulting positions for companies such as 3PM, ScriptTech, Ohaus and Innovation.

Jimmy S. Jackson is a past president of the Garner Chamber of Commerce and presently serves as a director. He serves on the Garner Marketing Advisory Committee is a Rotarian and has served on various committees for the town. After graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1967, he began his career with Kerr Drug Stores and moved through the operational ranks and was the
vice president of Pharmacy and Government Affairs at the time of Kerr’s acquisition by the J.C. Penney Company. Jimmy
served in numerous positions of leadership with the NC Pharmaceutical Association and served as president in 1997. While associated with the Thrift Drug Division of the Penney Company, Jimmy was active in its Pharmacy Benefit Management Company called TDI managed Care. Jimmy’s Pharmacy Benefit Management experience includes a founding role in PNNC, and he continues to serve on the executive committee of its board of directors. Jimmy is vice president of pharmacy affairs for the Eckerd Corporation, and works closely with Boards of Pharmacy, Legislatures and Schools of Pharmacy from VA through FL. He serves on advisory boards for schools of pharmacy in NC, SC, Mississippi, and FL. Jimmy served as president of the North Carolina Pharmaceutical Association for the 1997-98 term and was elected pharmacist of the year for 1998. On the national level Jimmy has chaired the State Govt. Affairs committee for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and has received the NACDS highest award in 1997 when he received the Harold Pratt award. In February of last year Jimmy was honored by his alma mater, The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy by being recognized as a Distinguished Alumni Award Winner. Earlier this year, the University of Florida School of Pharmacy faculty chose Jimmy to receive their award for Distinguished Pharmacy Service and was also awarded an honorary PhD from Campbell University.

Mike graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a B.S. degree in Pharmacy. He is a member of the National Community Pharmacists Association, Association of Community Pharmacists, Fellow American College of Apothecaries, North Carolina Association of Pharmacists, Pro Care Association and the North Carolina Banking Commission. James is President of Person Street Pharmacy, Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina, President of Century Drug, Inc. Deerfield Beach, Florida as well as Governmental Affairs Director for North Carolina Mutual Wholesale Drug Company and he resides in Raleigh, North Carolina. James was elected to the board in 2003. Mike is very involved with National Government legislation and continually serves as an advocate for the retail independent pharmacist in Washington DC.

John recently retired from the FDA after 20 years of service. His most recent responsibilities were as Director, Division of Pre-Marketing Assessment II & Manufacturing Science in the Office of New Drug Quality Assessment. Some of his major achievements have been the review, inspection and approval of Gleevec, a new class of oncology drug in 45 days, which required collaborative and innovative approaches to working with a pharmaceutical manufacturer. He has also been involved with the review and approval of the first major combination products Mylotarg (a monoclonal antibody with a cytotoxic agent) and the Cypher drug eluting stent (a drug-device combo). He has served in the Office of New Drug Chemistry, Office of Generic Drugs, Division of Cardio-Renal Drug Products and the Division of Biopharmaceutics. His current areas of interest include PAT and Combination Products. He has over 125 publications and presentations in the areas of analytical methodology to evaluate drugs in vitro and in vivo. Prior to FDA, he was on the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy and the University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy, Center for Biomedical Research. He holds degrees from Temple University and the University of Pittsburgh.

Jim has been Outpatient Pharmacy Manager at Duke Hospital since November 2004 where he supervises all pharmaceutical care responsibilities and staff management, ensures compliance with all regulatory practice standards and participates in student and resident education.
Prior to that Jim has held management positions at Harris-Teeter, Eckerd Drug and KERR Drug.
In addition to serving on the Centice Pharmacy Advisory Board, Jim serves as a board member for Cardinal Health Regional Advisory and Duke Health System Resource Advisory.
Jim also serves on many committees including Duke Hospital Compounding Oversight Committee and Duke Strength, Hope and Caring Committee. He is a member of the NC Association of Pharmacists Emergency Preparedness and the Orange County Board of Public Health Pharmacist in addition to being Chair of the Orange County Clinical and Community Programs.
Jim graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1984 with a BS in Pharmacy and completed research work with EPA published in Teratology in June 1985 and April 1987. He has won the Kerr Drug Store President’s Circle Store Manager of the Year Award in 1994 and became a PCCA Certified Compounding Pharmacist in 2000.
