W. Swanson
President & CEO
Ray W. Swanson, President and Chief Executive Officer, brings more than 20 years experience in the
medical diagnostics and devices industry, with an emphasis on commercial and
general management roles. Previously, Swanson was Senior Vice President of
Commercial Operations for TriPath Imaging, a publicly traded cancer
diagnostics and device company based in Burlington, N.C.From 1987 to 2000, Swanson held senior management
positions of increasing responsibility at Dade Behring, one of the world's
largest clinical diagnostics companies. Swanson was part of the team that
formed Dade International through the acquisition of the diagnostic business
of Baxter International Inc. in 1994.
Prior to 1987, Swanson held positions with Johnson and
Johnson, American Hospital Supply Corporation, Solvay Inc. and Washington
University School of Medicine. Swanson has B.S. and M.S. degrees in zoology
from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Iowa.

Arthur Bergens
Chief Financial & Administration Officer
Arthur Bergens became CFO of Centice in January 2006 and brings over twenty years of experience in a wide range of financial leadership positions.
Prior to Centice, Mr. Bergens served as CFO for Unitive, Inc, a leader in advanced wafer packaging solutions for the semiconductor industry, which was acquired in August 2004 by Amkor Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMKR), a publicly held company and one of the world’s leading providers of contract semiconductor manufacturing, assembly, and test services. At Amkor, Mr. Bergens held the title of Vice President - Finance and Administration where he was responsible for financial leadership of Amkor's new Wafer Level Packaging Business Unit. Prior to Unitive, Mr. Bergens was Vice President and CFO for the Americas Region at Modus Media International, Inc, a global provider of supply chain management solutions to the high technology industry with annual revenues of some $600 million. Mr. Bergens has served as CFO for TANO Automation, Inc., which develops, engineers and manufactures microprocessor-based control systems for the marine, oil, gas, water and wastewater industries. Mr. Bergens was also held the position of manager in the New Orleans office of Ernst & Young. Bergens holds a MBA from Campbell University, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans, and is a licensed certified public accountant in both Louisiana and North Carolina.

John Davis
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
John Davis brings over 18 years of senior-level sales and marketing
experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare arenas. Prior to joining
Centice, Davis was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Innovation, a
leader in the pharmacy automation and workflow arena. At Innovation,
Davis was considered a pharmacy domain expert due to all of his years of
experience with pharmacy operations and while there built a successful
international sales force that spanned all the primary pharmacy market
segments. Davis was Director of Sales, Pharmaceutical Distribution and
Regional Sales Manager for Cardinal Health’s Atlantic region. During
his tenure at Cardinal Health, Davis was continually recognized for his strong leadership skills and for his region’s leading sales growth and sales revenue.
Davis has also held senior-level sales positions with McKesson HBOC and FoxMeyer Corporation.
Davis holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

Jim Tusa, Ph.D.
Vice President, Product Development
Jim Tusa became VP of Product Development in early 2007 and brings over
26 years of experience in Research and Development of analytical and medical
diagnostic systems. In the course of his career he has held various levels
of R&D management at multiple start-up companies leading to successful
acquisition by large companies such as 3M, Roche Diagnostics, Idexx, and
Chugai.
Most recently, Tusa was VP R&D at Osmetech Corp., recently acquired in
late 2006 by Idexx Corp., where he led the development of two new in vitro
diagnostic point-of-care systems for measurement of critical care blood
analytes using disposable optical biosensors. Before that Tusa held the
position of Director, R&D and New Technology at Roche Diagnostics, where he
managed early development of a handheld fluorometer system for measurement
of whole blood analytes such as blood gases, electrolytes, metabolites, and
hemoglobins. Before that he was VP R&D and Engineering at AVL Medical
Corp., where for eight years he managed the development and successful
growth of a line of diagnostic products leading to AVL’s acquisition in 2000
by Roche Diagnostics. In addition he was Manager of Systems Integration at
CDI Inc., leading to acquisition in 1988 by 3M Corp. In between positions,
Tusa has taught college chemistry and consulted for a year on development of
a glucose-sensing contact lens with CIBA-Vision.
Jim has a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from University of Chicago, has
completed all coursework toward an MBA at UCLA, and holds B.A. degrees in
chemistry and physics from Carleton College.
